3/4 Understanding Payoffs to reach Total Wholeness

January 28, 2012international

A.   PEOPLE DO WHAT WORKS FOR THEM!

So far in this series on ‘the Will and Total Wholeness’ we have looked at what the will does, what stops it from working and how to gently work with the Will to guide it into doing what we want.

In this post, we want to understand the concepts behind what motivates and guides the Will – “Payoffs”.  This topic can help you understand why you behave in certain ways, especially when self-sabotage seems to be involved.

  1.  Payoffs exist in everyone’s life.

Worksheet – What is the Condition of your Will?

January 23, 2012

In our previous posts, we have outlined what ‘The Will’ does for the whole Boardroom, how it is shaped and what stops it from working.  It can help to see the Condition of your own will.

Answer the following statements on a 1 to 5 scale:

1 = This is not an issue for me, I have completed the task to the best of my ability.

5 = This is an area I need to do work on, I haven’t started to think about this yet.

What is the Condition of YOUR Will?

# Question to Consider:

1 to 5

Sunday Cuppa’s with Susanne

January 20, 2012

Recently, we have been working on a series called ‘The Covenants of God’ for the Hearing your Creator’s Voice blog site.

I’ve asked myself why this is so important.  In fact, it was helping to write doing this study as a Correspondence course some years ago that my own faith grew deeper and deeper.

I realised how much our loving Creator was in control of all of human history from the stories of Adam and Eve through to the final, end eternity awaiting us all.

3/3 How can I help my Will Toward Total Wholeness?

January 18, 2012

Our Blog series have been devoted to the topic of ‘Total Wholeness’.  We have been explaining how the seven parts of our personality must be in balance for this wholeness to start to grow and spread in our own life.

In our previous post, we began with the Mind, the entrance to our Personality, or our Boardroom.

Then, in our last post, we began the discussion on how the Will relates to your Personality, we talked about the purpose of the will, the signs of a health and an unhealthy will and our challenge as Jesus Followers.

2 /4 Some Practical work with your Mind for Total Wholeness

January 16, 2012

We have been looking at the place of the Mind when we look at Total Wholeness of your personality.  We have seen the God-given purposes of our Mind how we can direct our Mind and thus, change our life.

We talked about the three ‘voices’ that enter your SuperComputer Mind …..and that you can make a choice on which thoughts dominate your thinking by ‘renewing the Mind’ to your Creator’s calling.

In this forth post on your Mind, I thought you might like to do more practical thinking about your own personal Mind.  I have included some thinking and meditation exercises and some Mind Games from an Internet site I discovered.

2/3 The Mind’s Job for Total Wholeness

January 12, 2012site-map

Welcome back to Part 2 of our fascinating study of the Human Mind, that part of our personality that thinks and aims to rule our world.  However, as we have been discovering in this series on the seven parts to our personality, the Mind is only one precious, God-given competent that makes us the person we are.  It is only as we put all the parts together in unity and harmony that we can begin to understand the concept of Total Wholeness.

2/2. The Mind – the Entrance to the Boardroom

January 10, 2012advertise

Welcome back to our post on the inner workings of your Boardroom!!  Our theme for this post is the very important member of your BR – the Mind.  We need to examine what our mind is up to and consciously choose to ‘guard’ and even ‘renew’ its thinking.  For many people, their mind runs in many scattered directions; it may even be hard to control.

There is probably no more fascinating topic in philosophy or neurology than the mind and the relationship with consciousness.  Yet, despite the fact that the human mind has made it possible to gain an understanding of the world around us, we have learned little to help us understand the mind itself.

3/2 Change and the Will in Total Wholeness

January 5, 2012

So far we have investigated the Mind, the Entrance to the Boardroom in our journey toward Total Wholeness.  The Mind thinks it is the ‘Captain of our World’, the one who must get things logical and done!  Our SuperComputer needs guidance and renewed input to join a healthy personality, or to join what we have called ‘The Boardroom’.

Do you remember all the parts that make you who you are?  Do a quick review if you need to place all the ‘players’ in the Boardroom.
