7/3 So how does the Heart apply to Total Wholeness?

February 27, 2013

In our last post, we began the member of our Boardroom – The Heart.  Check back to that post for a review.

Our physical heart is a multi-chambered organ through which our physical life force flows, our blood. In the same way our spiritual heart is something through which our spiritual life flows. Proverbs 4:23 tells us that the heart is the well spring of life. There appears to be a close connection between our physical and spiritual heart

1.  In the Hebrew the word heart is ‘Leb’ and is defined as the centre of our being.

7/2 Intro to Healing the Heart for Total WholenessTotal Wholeness

February 24, 2013

Welcome back!  We are discussing the subject of Total Wholeness on this blog.   What does the term mean and how do we achieve Total Wholeness?  Continue with us as we explore the concept of the Heart!

A. Review and Introduction to the Heart

So far in our Total Wholeness blog, we have pictured the seven parts of our personality much like how a business runs its ‘Boardroom’.  For the vast majority of people, their Boardroom is out of harmony, in conflict or even in guerrilla warfare between the members.

6/26 Summary for the Total Wholeness and our Emotions

February 13, 2013

Well we have come to end of our sections on Emotions.  Remember we are considering each part of our personality much like we would see a Boardroom.  Some members are in harmony while others may be in violent disagreement.  Some members might be hiding their true responses while other may be vocal and dominating.

The 7 parts of our personality are like this too.  So far we have look at the Mind – the logical, rational decision making part of the Boardroom.  The mind, as important as it is, much know that it is not the ‘Captain of your world’ with all the pressures that job carries.  The mind is designed to be a tool, a very important one but only a tool.  Other factors need to come into consideration in order for harmony for prevail in your Boardroom.

6/26 Review – The Emotional Storms and Total Wholeness

February 8, 2013conditions

By now, I trust everyone would agree: Emotions must be Handled in a Healthy way.

Psychologists have long seen emotions as the driving force of the personality.  Our emotions will impact our drives and instincts, our needs and wants.  Emotion can upset every gland in the body, thus causing up to 85% of the treated illness seen by doctors.

In one of our first posts on this part of our personality, we defined emotions as “The state of mind that produces a feeling, which then shows itself in a physical change within the body.” (EDWJ, 5/98).

Sunday Cuppa with Susanne – Psalm 23

February 5, 2013

How about kicking off your shoes, grab a cuppa and let’s do something outside our usual posts?  Care to spend a bit of time thinking about something else to your day?

Recently someone sent me a great version of the 23rd Psalm, from Japan.  I’d like to talk this one through with you.  It’s called:  ‘The Lord is My Pace Setter’

‘The Lord is My Pace Setter….I will not rush’

6/23 A Prayer for your Emotions for Total Wholeness

February 22, 2013

Lord Jesus, my Emotions and I stand before You.

We don’t always understand why You do what You do in our world.  Sometimes, confusion and doubt come when we see things differently than You do.  I would ask for my Emotions, the wisdom to hang onto You when pain and affilation happen.  Help us to see Your hand of Love rather than interpreting everything as You being against me.
