Cuppa1Celebrate with me!  After four years in production, this is my first ever published novel!  ‘Guardians of the Promise: Tamar’s Story’.

In 1714 BC, a young country girl began the journey of her life.  She was given in marriage to the eldest son of Judah, to Erdad of the tribe of Abraham.  As she began this journey in fear and trembling, Tamar had little idea of the future she would find.

In our last post, we asked the question: “Why do women struggle with their body image?”

In an era when women are supposed to be enjoying their ‘new sexual equality’, they still judge their bodies by unrealistic standards.  The majority of women go through cycles of dieting and gaining weight, food fads and fashion highs – perhaps even more than our mothers and grandmothers before us.  Billions of dollars are spent each year on cosmetics and hair products.  The clothing industry produces fashions worn by skinny supermodels, enticing women with “thin is beautiful”.  With all this money and fuss, most women still consider themselves far, far from perfect.  Why do women judge themselves so harshly? 2.  it’s all about Measuring sticks
