We have present some new ideas and probably some insights you have already considered.  Here are 17 questions for you to think through as a way of seeing yourself as you were created to be.  Go through the following questions and rate your answer on a 1 to 5 scale.  1 = I know nothing about this issue to 5 = I understand and have dealt with this issue fully.

_______ 1. Are you familiar with the pathways the enemy takes to affect your health and energy levels?

_______ 2. Do you know the female sexuality God wants you to enjoy?

The Choice we are given for Total Wholeness

The following is one of my favourite stories from Max Lucado’s series.  You can find his books listed at the end of this post.  I trust you will enjoy this short story as much as I do!

*******

‘The Choice’ by Max Lucado

He placed one scoop of clay upon another until a form lay lifeless on the ground.  All of the Garden’s inhabitants paused to witness the event.  Hawks hovered.  Giraffes stretched.  Trees bowed. Butterflies paused on petals and watched.

8/28 What do you think about your Body?

Posted by on May 14, 2014blog at 2:14 amresearch

As we saw in our last post, the Body is vital to the whole inner system of our personality; we cannot separate us from our Body because …. we cease to exist in this physical realm.

As our physical tent, the Body has five senses that help us survive in the physical dimension in which we exist. Our Body has also been created with basic needs, such as food, rest/sleep, exercise, sex and protection from the elements. Since these are God-given needs, we can learn to honour our Creator’s choice and care for our Body in healthy ways.

8/27 Restoring Our Body Back To the Lord for Total Wholeness

Posted by on June 10, 2014news at 2:34 am

We have been discussing the place of our Physical Body in the Boardroom – our total personality.    We have seen how emotions influence our Body’s health and how important it is to see the signs of self-rejection when it comes to our Body.

Here is an interesting guest post along the lines of knowing the inner struggles the body and the Heart face:

8/26 Helping the Body find its Place in Total Wholeness

In our past posts, we have suggested that the physical Body is greatly influenced by all the other member of your personality.  Your Boardroom finds its outlet in the Body.  Then, it is important to help your Body be the best it can be by understanding these influences.  However, sometimes it seems there are so many pressures on the Body, it is hard to find the mast healthy balance.

We have even added a few book suggestions:

8/25 How does the body relate to the whole Boardroom?

Let’s take a moment and review what we have learned about the Body so far.  Our Body has God-given physical needs for:  exercise, air, water, food, shelter.  Whenever any of the God given needs are allowed to dominate the Boardroom or your personality, dysfunction results.  We can actually drink too much water and death to the Body results.

8/24 You have the Body you Inwardly want that influences Total Wholeness

Posted by on April 2, 2014privacy at 2:34 am

“Hey!  That’s a very confronting statement, Susanne!  I don’t enjoy the body I have now and I don’t want the body I have now! ”

OK I can hear that cry throughout the blog – all our 1,400 recorded subscriptions!  … but think about it.  What is stopping you from having the best body for your age and state of health?  For most people it’s the willing to be willing to make the effort to get the body under control, to achieve the health, weight, lifestyle they really want.

8/23 Understanding the differences in the sexes for Total Wholeness

Posted by on March 26, 2014research at 3:15 am

Recently I found some interesting books on the subject we are discussing.  Here is one that lays out some of the major differences between males and females.

Men are Like Waffles–Women are Like Spaghetti

In an excerpt from their marriage seminar, Bill and Pam Farrel explain the difference between the ways that men and women think, uploaded November, 2008.

8/22 Being Comfortable with my Body for Total Wholeness

Posted by on June 19, 2014 at 10:40 am

In our last post, we asked the question: “Why do women struggle with their body image?”

In an era when women are supposed to be enjoying their ‘new sexual equality’, they still judge their bodies by unrealistic standards.  The majority of women go through cycles of dieting and gaining weight, food fads and fashion highs – perhaps even more than our mothers and grandmothers before us.  Billions of dollars are spent each year on cosmetics and hair products.  The clothing industry produces fashions worn by skinny supermodels, enticing women with “thin is beautiful”.  With all this money and fuss, most women still consider themselves far, far from perfect.  Why do women judge themselves so harshly? 2.  it’s all about Measuring sticks

8/21 The Rejection of womanhood influences Total Wholeness

Posted by on April 29, 2014 at 8:10 am

It seems that most males are far happier with their bodies – no matter what shape – than most women.  From childhood onwards, girls collect ‘Measuring Sticks’ from what others say about them, from the media, their peers, boyfriends, books and so on and on.  We tend to use these measuring sticks to see if we measure up to the perfection of being a female.

In this section, we can ask:  How can we apply His will when it comes to being comfortable with our body?  He wants us to bring the principles of His kingdom on Earth in this area too.

8/20 The Issue of Porn and Total Wholeness

Posted by on March 23, 2014 at 1:12 am

We continue with the issues of sexuality and the Body onto another important topic: the influence of porn on the health of the body.

Here is a YouTube story on ‘The Impact of Pornography on the Male Psyche’ (Pt.1) produced by Scurry254624·46 videos

Pornography is powerful. Our contemporary culture has been ‘pornified’ and it shapes our assumptions about identity, sexuality, the value of women and the nature of relationships. Countless Christian men struggle with the addictive power of porn. But common spiritual approaches of more prayer and accountability groups are often of limited help.
