In the process of Mentoring people, I often come across a very interesting example when using the Boardroom concept is the answer!

Recently one person shared her story: Nicky came with with feelings of “….just being too tired to care anymore…”.  She  had a great job so her mind was still actively involved in planning, sorting and getting her responsibilities on top of things in her office….but when she went home, she feel in a heap.  She didn’t even have the energy to add new light bulbs!

3/9 A Personal Reminder for your Will

Posted by on March 13, 2012 at 12:46 amblog

Before we begin with the next member of your personality in the spotlight, your human spirit, I wanted to include a reminder to your Will.  After every member, we will aim to have such a statement for you to read.

Print off a copy and put it where you can read it often so your Will can pick up on the purpose of life!

“Hello Will!  You are meant to be part of my life so please listen to what we need to have a healthy, whole life.  You are important, Will to my whole being because you are the main one to bring action to our system.

3/8 Bringing your Will to Face your Creator

Posted by on February 22, 2012 at 6:28 am

Total Wholeness involves investigating the place of your Will.  During this series, we have seen that our Will can be in different conditions, or even lacking the motivation to try and try again.

With a ‘crushed Will’ we feel lost and hopeless.  If the Will is following the broken part of our personality, we often just go round and round the same old habit patterns and failure is the result.  Knowing this about the Will we can understand why some people are just plain ‘stuck’.

3/7 Another Piece of the Change Puzzle – Case Study

Posted by on February 15, 2012 at 4:47 am

1.  Let’s Talk about the Heart and Change

When we use the term ‘Heart’, we are referring that inner areas that Sigmund Freud called the unconscious and the subconscious.  This part of our inner core being is actually hidden and unknowable by us.

We all need help to see this part of our personality and we need to learn how to communicate with our heart.   We will cover the Heart in a later post as this is an essential member of the Boardroom when we are looking at Total Wholeness!

2.  Sometimes we can’t change because the Heart really doesn’t want to change.

3/6 So how do you Change your will?

Posted by on February 4, 2012language at 12:58 am

So far on this journey to understand the seven parts to your personality, we have presented an overview to what we have been calling ‘The Boardroom’.  This is a concept that explains the inner workings of your internal system of Mind, Will, human spirit, your heart, emotions, conscience and your body.

As we saw in our previous post, the vast majoriey of people have a ‘Boardroom’ that is in disorder, without unity and often in conflict betwee the members!

As you learn to have all these ‘parts’ of your personality in working order, you will be working toward Total Wholeness more and more, especially as you add the Eight Member – your Creator!

3/5 Motivation and How to Get Motivated – Guest Post By Remez Sasson

The following is a post from Remez’s website on www.successconsciousness.com/motivation.htm    Thanks for your contribution!  Remez also have several books to help on the Motivation aspects of your will.

*******

Motivation has become a popular word nowadays. There are motivational coaches and speakers, and motivational books and articles. What is it actually, and why do you need it?

Motivation is a driving force. In order to accomplish anything, you need a driving force, otherwise nothing will happen. A wish is not strong enough to make you take action. A wish is a weak desire. Only a strong desire can drive forward, to act and accomplish aims and goals.

3/4 Understanding Payoffs to reach Total Wholeness

Posted by on January 28, 2012blog at 1:17 am

A.   PEOPLE DO WHAT WORKS FOR THEM!

So far in this series on ‘the Will and Total Wholeness’ we have looked at what the will does, what stops it from working and how to gently work with the Will to guide it into doing what we want.

In this post, we want to understand the concepts behind what motivates and guides the Will – “Payoffs”.  This topic can help you understand why you behave in certain ways, especially when self-sabotage seems to be involved.

  1.  Payoffs exist in everyone’s life.

Posted by on January 23, 2012 at 11:08 pmreport

In our previous posts, we have outlined what ‘The Will’ does for the whole Boardroom, how it is shaped and what stops it from working.  It can help to see the Condition of your own will.

Answer the following statements on a 1 to 5 scale:

1 = This is not an issue for me, I have completed the task to the best of my ability.

5 = This is an area I need to do work on, I haven’t started to think about this yet.

What is the Condition of YOUR Will?

Our Blog series have been devoted to the topic of ‘Total Wholeness’.  We have been explaining how the seven parts of our personality must be in balance for this wholeness to start to grow and spread in our own life.

In our previous post, we began with the Mind, the entrance to our Personality, or our Boardroom.

Then, in our last post, we began the discussion on how the Will relates to your Personality, we talked about the purpose of the will, the signs of a health and an unhealthy will and our challenge as Jesus Followers.

3/2 Change and the Will in Total Wholeness

Posted by on January 5, 2012 at 1:22 am

So far we have investigated the Mind, the Entrance to the Boardroom in our journey toward Total Wholeness.  The Mind thinks it is the ‘Captain of our World’, the one who must get things logical and done!  Our SuperComputer needs guidance and renewed input to join a healthy personality, or to join what we have called ‘The Boardroom’.

Do you remember all the parts that make you who you are?  Do a quick review if you need to place all the ‘players’ in the Boardroom.

3/1 Total Wholeness & Saying Hello to the Will!

Posted by on December 14, 2011content at 1:37 pm

Welcome back to our overview of the different parts to your personality in our Total Wholeness blog!  So far we have introduced the logical, rational member of the Boardroom – the Mind

The BR is constantly feeling emotions, thinking about things, sorting out different views and making decisions.  This is the Boardroom member of our personality that carries out the decisions made by the whole personality – or at least by the strongest members.  It can either be a ‘control freak’ needing to know everything before it acts or ….crushed, broken and without ‘the will to do anything’.  The will is a ‘Doer’ in your personality.
