“Hey Adam!  The Snake is still in the Garden!”

That ought to be the cry of every Jesus follower as we catch the lies and half truths the enemyBook: Bate of Satan is still trying to get us to believe.  Here is a very helpful book in this area!  Here is one reader’s comments:

Escape the enemy’s deadly trap!  ‘The Bait of Satan’ exposes one of the most deceptive snares Satan uses to get believers out of the will of God – taking an offense because of what someone has said or done.

Here is a great review of the book by John Bevere:

Recently, I had a very interesting discussion about dieting with a friend of mine.  Of course, this is always a popular subject with those who have fought ‘the battle of the bludge’.  In fact, doing a browser search I found the following info on the Dieting Industry:

                                  The Dieting Industry

• 95% of diets fail and most will regain their lost weight in 1-5 years

Source: Statistics on Weight Discrimination: A Waste of Talent, The Council on Size and Weight Discrimination,  Retrieved July 18, 2011, from

• 75% of American women surveyed endorse unhealthy thoughts, feelings or behaviours related to food or their bodies.

7/13 Learning to Talk to your Heart for Total Wholeness

Posted by on June 3, 2013 at 7:53 am

We have been talking about the heart, what it is and how it works in this Blog on Total Wholeness.  We have seen how important it is to hear and to understand our Heart. We don’t always consciously understand our spiritual hearts because it has hidden motives and desires.  “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure.  Who can understand it?” Jeremiah 17:9.

Only God can truly understand our heart. Only by talking with God can we find out what is the true state of our hearts.  “Would not God have discovered it, since he knows the secrets of the heart?” Psalms 44:21.

7/5 So what the condition of my Heart now on the journey to Total Wholeness?

Posted by on March 6, 2013support at 12:50 pm

So far in this series on the Heart, we have learned that we all have a Heart!  Then we saw in our last post that our Heart can be wounded, hardened and in lots of other conditions.  Part of the journey toward Total Wholeness is to find out what condition your Heart is in!

A.  To begin with, we all begin with the heart in the same condition:

1.  Ephesians 4:18 explains this.

“They (meaning us) are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their heart.”

6/22 The Half-Truths my Heart still Believes

Here is another practical worksheet for you to think about on your journey toward Total Wholeness.  What might be some of the beliefs still stuck at a heart level, the unconscious level of your thinking —– that influence your world?

Go through this list of the more common lies your heart may still believe, and list the intensity of emotional pain your heart still feels.

The Pathway to Inner Healing for Total Wholeness

In our previous posts, we have been discussing what bring Total Wholeness for our Emotions.  We saw how the vast majority of people grow up with hurts, Heart judgements and traumas.  It is unavoidable as human beings.

We also saw that Jesus came to bring a reconciliation back to our Creator.  Part of the reconciliation is the healing of our spirit, soul and eventually our physical bodies.  This includes healing for our Heart and our Emotions.

….. But just how do you go about doing the process!

6/18 Checklist for Trauma Levels to reach Total Wholeness

Here is another Personal Worksheet to help you in understanding your emotional health.

Rate your personal reactions on a 1 to 5 scale.  The professional criterion for recognising a person undergoing the effects of trauma, especially Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, is having at least two or more tick off in the ‘5’ column:

I often feel frozen, calm or numb when facing the challenging or   unexpected events in my life.

I have reoccurring dreams, flashbacks of traumatic events from   my past.

6/5 Unhealthy Ways Emotions can Block Total Wholeness

Posted by on October 20, 2012 at 2:18 amcontact

We saw in our last posts that emotions are common to all humans. We emphasised that our emotions come from our thinking patterns – and can be changed if we change our thinking.  That’s why ‘re-newing the mind’ is so important. Without emotions, we would just be zombies or robots.  It is our emotions that make us truly human.

A machine (like a computer) can compare and contrast much quicker (and usually more accurately) than we can.  That doesn’t make it more human, but less.  In the science fiction series “Star Trek” human beings are always trying to get Spock to become emotional.  You see, he is not human, but Vulcan.

5/12 Self Talk, Self hatred and the Conscience in seeking Total Wholeness

Posted by on July 20, 2012 at 6:28 am

As we have mentioned in previous posts, your Conscience is there to be a helper if used in the right way.  One aim of Total Wholeness is helping your Conscience reach a peaceful place with your life as a Jesus Follower.  For many people this means dealing with the ‘mind chatter’, the self-talk that constantly flows through their mind.

When the majority of this self-talk is negative, self-judgemental or self critical, they are robbed of peace and joy.  For many, this flow of thoughts might be in comparing themselves to others on how they look.

5/7 How does the Conscience work toward Total Wholeness?

Posted by on June 7, 2012 at 7:01 am

How does the Conscience work toward Total Wholeness? So far, we have discussed how our Conscience can guide us but it is not meant to be the perfect guide.  Remember the Conscious is one of the 7 parts of our personality so we need to understand how it functions to reach that Total Wholeness that is possible in our ‘Boardroom’.

1.  First of all, the conscience works negatively.

It is a God-given, built in red light when you are doing something wrong.  The conscience is that negative voice that says “This is wrong!”.

3/5 Motivation and How to Get Motivated – Guest Post By Remez Sasson

The following is a post from Remez’s website on    Thanks for your contribution!  Remez also have several books to help on the Motivation aspects of your will.

Motivation has become a popular word nowadays. There are motivational coaches and speakers, and motivational books and articles. What is it actually, and why do you need it?

Motivation is a driving force. In order to accomplish anything, you need a driving force, otherwise nothing will happen. A wish is not strong enough to make you take action. A wish is a weak desire. Only a strong desire can drive forward, to act and accomplish aims and goals.
