Intro to Total Wholeness

3/5 Motivation and How to Get Motivated – Guest Post By Remez Sasson

Posted by on February 2, 2012 at 1:30 am

The following is a post from Remez’s website on www.successconsciousness.com/motivation.htm    Thanks for your contribution!  Remez also have several books to help on the Motivation aspects of your will.

*******

Motivation has become a popular word nowadays. There are motivational coaches and speakers, and motivational books and articles. What is it actually, and why do you need it?

Motivation is a driving force. In order to accomplish anything, you need a driving force, otherwise nothing will happen. A wish is not strong enough to make you take action. A wish is a weak desire. Only a strong desire can drive forward, to act and accomplish aims and goals.

3/3 How can I help my Will Toward Total Wholeness?

Our Blog series have been devoted to the topic of ‘Total Wholeness’.  We have been explaining how the seven parts of our personality must be in balance for this wholeness to start to grow and spread in our own life.

In our previous post, we began with the Mind, the entrance to our Personality, or our Boardroom.

Then, in our last post, we began the discussion on how the Will relates to your Personality, we talked about the purpose of the will, the signs of a health and an unhealthy will and our challenge as Jesus Followers.

2/2. The Mind – the Entrance to the Boardroom

Posted by on January 10, 2012 at 5:03 am

Welcome back to our post on the inner workings of your Boardroom!!  Our theme for this post is the very important member of your BR – the Mind.  We need to examine what our mind is up to and consciously choose to ‘guard’ and even ‘renew’ its thinking.  For many people, their mind runs in many scattered directions; it may even be hard to control.

There is probably no more fascinating topic in philosophy or neurology than the mind and the relationship with consciousness.  Yet, despite the fact that the human mind has made it possible to gain an understanding of the world around us, we have learned little to help us understand the mind itself.

9/1 The Leader Towards Total Wholeness – the Lord Jesus Christ

Posted by on December 18, 2011 at 1:16 am

So who is meant to be ‘in charge’ in the journey toward Total Wholeness?  Who is really designed by the Creator to govern and guide this mess we often find when we start this journey into your Personality’s Boardroom?  This is the Ninth post we have presented to you the reader on your journey to Total Wholeness.

By now you have met the players in the Boardroom or your personality.  We have given you an overview of the Mind, the Will, the Conscience, the Heart, Emotions and the body.  As you can see, your inner world is far more complicated and inter-woven then you might have suspected.

7/1 Total Wholeness & Having Healthy Emotions

Welcome back!  In our previous posts in our Total Wholeness blog, we’ve talked about the mind, the Will, the human Spirit, the conscience and then the Heart.  We saw how all of these parts of your personality can have a ‘mind of their own’ and keep us from finding health and wholeness.

In this post, we are introducing another part that seems to have ‘a mind of its own’your emotions.

Emotions are one of the most written about; least understood and most repressed members of our whole personality.  They are often maligned, feared, buried and neglected.  Father God intended us to have healthy emotions and He intended them as helpers for us to see our heart.

5/1 Total Wholeness & Renewing your Conscience

Posted by on December 17, 2011 at 6:58 am

This is the Fifth overview in our blog on Total Wholeness.    So far we have covered three of the main players in your Boardroom: the logical, rational Mind, the Doer called the Will and the Human Spirit, the real You!

In this post we will look at one of the most controlling and dominates members in the whole of the BR – the Conscience.  So what is it and how does it function?  Unlike a well organised Boardroom of IBN or United Airlines, most people’s BR meetings are in total disagreement ….except to give control to the most dominate member.  The main triangle of domination comes from the Mind, the Heart and the Conscience.  Why this is so and what we can do about it will be covered in this fifth category of the BR.

6/1 Total Wholeness & Healing the Heart

Posted by on December 17, 2011rss at 6:56 amabout

As we continue with our Blog on Total Wholeness, we want to introduce the Member of the Boardroom that has the largest voting block – the Heart.  One of the greatest truths we have learned in our 20+ years as counsellors has been about the heart.  The more we can help people deal with the root issues in the heart – rather than just the head – the deeper the change and the more healing is likely.

8/1 Living in a Healthy Body

Posted by on December 15, 2011 at 1:12 am
In our last posts in the blog devoted to Total Wholeness, we introduced the idea that your inner systems are somewhat like the Boardroom meetings of businesses.  So far, we have introduced the six parts in your inner world.  Can you remember them?

Somewhere in your Boardroom you will find:

The Mind……The Will…..The Human Spirit…..The Conscience….The Heart…..The Emotions

We have presented the members of your personality, sitting around their boardroom table …but in peaceful discussions?  Well, no not really!  As we shall see in our coming posts, the conflicts and stresses found in most people’s Boardroom is far from Total Wholeness!  Control, anger, frustration, ignorance, overwork or any number of things rule most people’s Boardroom!

4/1 Total Wholeness & Finding the Human Spirit

Posted by on December 14, 2011 at 2:00 pm

We continue to give you a brief introduction to the 7 members of your personality using a Boardroom concept.   So far we have presented the Mind and the Will.  In this post, we want to show you one of the most essential parts – the real you, your Human Spirit.  This is the third members we are presenting but perhaps more importantly, the one member who needs more assistance and encouragement that all the others.  Our spirit was designed to worship but also to lead in your search for truth.  However, most people will have trouble identifying or even finding their spirit in their BR.  So…why is that?

3/1 Total Wholeness & Saying Hello to the Will!

Posted by on December 14, 2011 at 1:37 pmsupport

Welcome back to our overview of the different parts to your personality in our Total Wholeness blog!  So far we have introduced the logical, rational member of the Boardroom – the Mind

The BR is constantly feeling emotions, thinking about things, sorting out different views and making decisions.  This is the Boardroom member of our personality that carries out the decisions made by the whole personality – or at least by the strongest members.  It can either be a ‘control freak’ needing to know everything before it acts or ….crushed, broken and without ‘the will to do anything’.  The will is a ‘Doer’ in your personality.
