7/23 Sunday Cuppa with Susanne – our new Series!

Posted by on August 14, 2013 at 2:34 am

In case you haven’t noticed, we started a new series a new series in Hearing Your Creator’s Voice!  We are talking about the journey we make as Jesus followers from being Slaves in the Kingdom of this world – to its thinking, ways of behaving and ways of protecting ourselves from the pains of this world.  You’ll find us on http://bit.ly/16CyycU

Then we want to jump into the normal next stage – that of learning to be a servant in the Kingdom.  Many people seem to just stop here, especially if they have run into the legalism and ‘religiousness’ we can find around us.

An Example of using the Boardroom for Total Wholeness

Posted by on April 27, 2013 at 2:41 am

In the process of Mentoring people, I often come across a very interesting example when using the Boardroom concept is the answer!

Recently one person shared her story: Nicky came with with feelings of “….just being too tired to care anymore…”.  She  had a great job so her mind was still actively involved in planning, sorting and getting her responsibilities on top of things in her office….but when she went home, she feel in a heap.  She didn’t even have the energy to add new light bulbs!

So to begin with, have you ever thought about what you bring to your relationships?  No matter how huge people’s problems are, having a positive attitude will help.  Sometimes, you can be that ray of sunshine in another person’s life.

Guest Post – Christian Foundations on Conviction or Condemnation?

Posted by on August 6, 2012 at 7:49 am

Our Guest Post by Pastor Sharon White:

A.   A FAREWELL DISCUSSION

This week our passage focuses on the Holy Spirit bringing conviction.

It’s part of a “Farewell Discourse” of Jesus’ outlining his departure and its effect on the disciples future. Saying goodbye is never easy. Apart from funerals, airport departure lounges are for me the epitome of places of sad farewells.

There is a classic story of goodbyes in the Bible, John 16:4 onwards. Jesus is sharing with his disciples that His departure is necessary so that they can fully embrace the future. He repeatedly points them to the benefits of his leaving. “…..It is for your good I’m going away.”

5/11 We will Not face an angry, Judgemental God with Total Wholeness

Posted by on July 5, 2012api at 8:34 pmterms

So far is our discussion on our Conscience, we have talked about how to instruct and feed our sense of right and wrong from Biblical ways to grow into the Total Wholeness our Creator intended.  We must watch our self-talk, especially the self-hatred or self-sabotage that grows with drive for perfection.

However, deeper than this is the self-condemnation that seems to follow many people.  Those of us who claim to be Jesus Followers must deal with this deadliest of enemies – false condemnation!

4/16 Summary of our series on the Human Spirit and Total Wholeness

Posted by on May 17, 2012 at 4:56 am

Welcome back to our Summary on the Human Spirit.  Hopefully so far you have some idea of what we have been sharing on ‘The Boardroom’ and what we mean by the concept.  Our whole personality – all 7 parts of us – function together in some way, either in random, independent chaos or with some kind of order and harmony.

Learning what’s going on in the inside is part of the journey to finding this harmony.  This has been the whole purpose of this blog – to gain Total Wholeness by finding a sense of all of our ‘parts’.

3/9 A Personal Reminder for your Will

Posted by on March 13, 2012 at 12:46 amreport

Before we begin with the next member of your personality in the spotlight, your human spirit, I wanted to include a reminder to your Will.  After every member, we will aim to have such a statement for you to read.

Print off a copy and put it where you can read it often so your Will can pick up on the purpose of life!

“Hello Will!  You are meant to be part of my life so please listen to what we need to have a healthy, whole life.  You are important, Will to my whole being because you are the main one to bring action to our system.

Sunday Cuppa’s with Susanne

Posted by on January 20, 2012language at 2:20 am

Recently, we have been working on a series called ‘The Covenants of God’ for the Hearing your Creator’s Voice blog site.

I’ve asked myself why this is so important.  In fact, it was helping to write doing this study as a Correspondence course some years ago that my own faith grew deeper and deeper.

I realised how much our loving Creator was in control of all of human history from the stories of Adam and Eve through to the final, end eternity awaiting us all.
